Just so you know.

I was jut laying here on the bed and had my big huge belly out. My DD came in and sat next to me and was talking to me and the baby. She was tracing my huge stretch marks.

She said: Mama looks like you have waves on your belly.
I said: yeah those are my stretch marks.
DD: Well they look like big pretty waves.
Me: Yeah, but they are ugly stretch marks.
DD: NO they are not! (While looking at me like I'm : )

Awwww.

I guess I'm doing a pretty good job at teaching my DD what beauty is. (That statement kinda just slipped out, I normally wouldn't have said that to her)

Smart girl you've got there

My stretch marks are like battle wounds...I'm proud of them because of what they represent.

I once read about how so many people spend time, energy, and money to tattoo themselves to remember specific events or people in their lives (I am one of those). Stretch marks are nature's way of providing us our own reminder of what is one of the most personal and special events in our lives, with a pattern that fits each of us very individually.

Your little girl is ahead of the pack in seeing beauty in everything!
