Weekly Menu Thread 1/29--2/7

What's everyone having this week?


M: Beef & Lentils (in crock pot)
T: leftover "toad in a hole" from Sunday
W: leftover beef and lentils if family likes it () or something with chicken if not.
Th: Meatloaf
F: homemade pizza
Sat: Chicken enchiladas
Sun: Nephew's baptism, so whatever SIL cooks & has me bring!

M: garlic butter chicken breast w/ wild rice & asparagus all cooked in the steamer

T: beef enchiladas & all the fixin's

W: garlic basil sundried tomato turkey breast (grilled outside by dh ) w/broccoli

T: garlic pork tenderloin & potatoes in the crockpot

F: special occasion new york strip steaks and a side dish to be named later

S: dinner at SIL's for neices b-day...probably bbq sloppy joes: but atleast i'm not cooking

S: family dinner at my parents house...without a doubt something chicken

I don't feel like planning today. I worked my tushie off cleaning yesterday and I'm whooped.

M: Chicken Piccata, salad, fruit
T: Crockpot Beef Stroganoff over rice noodles, Brussels sprouts, fruit salad
W: seafood of some sort
Th: ?? any suggestions?
F: breakfast for dinner...not decided on what yet

Sunday - Chicken enchilada chili
Monday - Warm chopped chicken piccata spinach salad
Tuesday - Black bean soup (crockpot) w/ chopped Greek salad & feta cheese
Wednesday - Spicy sprimp and penne w/ Puttanesca sauce and green salad
Thursday - German potato salad w/ turkey kielbasa & crudites
Friday - dinner out w/ the grandparents and little ones
Saturday - maybe date night

This is my first week of actually planning out a week of meals. We started with yesterday....

S: baked ziti, greek salad, and lemon bars for dessert
M: turkey meat loaf, steamed green beans, and ww rolls
T: chicken fajitas, spanish rice, and chips & salsa
W: lasagna, salad, ww rolls
T: turkey chili bake
F: breakfast for dinner - scrambled cheesy eggs, turkey bacon, biscuits
S: not sure yet??

Okay, so I planned most of the week anyway, and I'm already enjoying knowing ahead of time what I'm making. Thanks for the inspiration ladies!!

Monday- pasta with pork sausage and a spinach salad
Tuesday- vegetarian stir fry
Wednesday- bean soup with ham and bread and butter
Thursday- homemade veg. pizza with salad
Friday- leftover bean soup and bread and butter
Saturday- pot roast with potatoes and a veg.

My week goes Sunday to Saturday, so I'm never quite sure how to post, lol. Here's my 2/4-2/10...(I do entrees only and plug veggies in on the fly).

S - Eggplant patties with rice
M - Cuban shredded pork
T - Red Beans
W - Shepherd's Pie
Th - Lentil Loaf (cross your fingers that dd isn't allergic so I can start using lentils!)
F - Leftovers
S - Chicken A La Yummy (lol - AP recipe name - first time trying it.)

A bunch of new stuff this week - plus potato soup and lentil soup for lunches! Wish me luck.

Jessie's Mom - We're garlic-heads too. And we almost named dd Jesse, but it kind of rhymes with our last name. We named our car Jesse instead.

ANYWAY...lol...Would you mind sharing your recipes for garlic chicken breast and garlic pork ternderloin in the crockpot? Pretty please?
