Switching Orthodontists?

Does anyone here know anything about switching orthodontists? My ex husband took her someplace that is out of town and I would rather not have to pull my daughter out of school for half a day to take her to appointments. As far as I know everything is paid in full but she'll need a retainer when the braces come of as some soon to be time.

Do you mean you would like to try to find one in your area?
I know that some don't take transfer cases, (if they have been going to one for a while some wont take the case). You'd have to call around and ask.

Yeah I had to do that because I left town and they wouldn't take me back when I got back. Your old one will just have to transfer your dc's file over. I had to call around 10 until I found a MUCH better one that took me. Glad I left town!

If everything is already paid, you may not be able to get your money back, depending on the contract. You can transfer her files over to a new orthodontist, but you would probably be stuck with the bill.
