Teaching the the teacher....

A girl I work with is also a health teacher. (waitress by night) We were working together for the 1st time in a long while (opposite schedules) and we were playing catch up with each other. She was asking about my ILs so I was venting how they treat me and about one of the fights about DS not being circ'd.
she asked why we didn't circ him. I gave her lots of info and she was genuinely interested. She had all the usual questions...all except the locker room one but you know all the myths. anyway...she asked me to email her the info b/c she really wanted to be properly educated b/c she is going to nursing school!!
I didn't know she was planning on going to nursing school but I feel like if she really changes her mind she could make some headway...I mean not HUGE changes but she could have more access to help. and she is very outspoken and articulate so if she gets convinced she would be out there spreading the word!

I just feel so good about this conversation!

anyway..so far I have emailed her the Penn and teller video and I copied and pasted a couple FAQs from sites. I will send more links but I want to do it a bit at time so she has time to take it in.

Awesome! And think of all the nurse friends she might educate if she does accept your info!

that is awesome.

I wish the info had been there for my mother when she went to nursing school.

Still to this day -- she thinks that it's great and 'healthy'.

We've touched on it some, but she's 53 and she's not having anymore kids.

Every single person who gets educated passes that on to someone else and, pretty soon, circumcision ends. Thanks for speaking up.
