Last U/S....c/s or vaginal? tic toc....UPDATE

Well, today is the day of my last ultrasound to see if I still have Placenta previa. It's been 6 weeks since my last U/s, so there's a chance it has risen....but my placenta so far has been pretty stubborn and seems to be liking its snug position right over my cervix. So, I'm both excited and nervous. If for some chance it has risen i need to take a crash course in labor, as I've spent the last several months gearing up for a c/s and trying to get in good space concerning that type of birth. So, I'm trusting the universe that whatever may be will be for my highest good. I can't wait to find out. Good vibes and blessings are so welcome mamas.......

Same boat! I have complete PP and am 33 weeks. I go in in two weeks for another u/s. Like yours, mine has been stubborn and not moved. Definately let us know what happens! -Brooke, originally in the March DD club, but bumped ahead to Feb. due to PP.

P.S. Have you had any bleeding?

My placenta did not budge...but you know what, I'm really OK. I feel like we've sculpted out a beautiful "belly-birth" plan and I'm looking forward to it. I've had so much time to contemplate the C/S that my anxiety is at a minimum and I really like the OB. He loved my birth plan. It will be him, his back-up, anaestesiologist, some nurses, my MW, my mom & DH. They're all on board to do a ritual beforehand and to listen to my music and to treat this as a sacred & gentle birth. So mamas... Tuesday Feb. 6 at noon....

Brooke, welcome to this due date club. I have not had any bleeding yet. Have you? How are your docs dealing with it...what are they suggesting for you? Is this your first babe? Feel free to pm me if you have any questions or anything. I'm sorry you have to deal with this....I hope your placenta raises for you!

Thanks! No, no bleeding here either (yet)-knock on wood! This is actually my third pg after two losses, one full term (our baby had trisomy 13) and one m/c. So actually this PP thing is no biggie-I mean, I've had to deal with worse. Trying to maintain a sense of humor about it-we even named my placenta on the PALS thread. I am taking it really easy, no sex, no exercise, etc. Still working part time. My docs will do another u/s and if things have not changed, they will do the csec at 37 weeks. Hopefully not sooner. I am ok with the csec also. Not my #1 choice, but I just want a healthy baby. That's ALL that matters. I'm glad you are ok with it too. It bothers me how upset some women get when they have to have a csec. I mean, like it's the end of the world. Anyhoo, I'm rambling! I'll be thinking of you Feb.6! Baby day!! -Brooke

February 6 is a good day--DS's birthday! I just hope I don't give birth to this new little one on that day. I'd kind of like my boys to have their own unique birthdays. (I'm due on Feb 12)

Oh mama I'm sorry your placenta did not cooperate but I hope that you can at least go into this birth experience with peace.

I am glad that at least now you have a plan, I think sometimes waiting to see what will happen is hard too! I hope your belly birth goes just as you want it to, and that your bub is vigorous and healthy!! It sounds like you have a beautiful birth plan! And I will be looking forward to hearing all about it once you are healed!
