Adding another 75 so far today. The decluttering the room (kitchen) is helping me right now.

So I'm at 111/350 right now.

Ok...my goal was going to be 1000 but due to medical issues we are facing this month, my goal will be 500

So far:
1 empty playdough can (trashed)
1 duck soap pump (broke it was brand new from my mom trashed)

2/500...................498 to go

Seven things so far today...I finally shipped some used items, and threw away a couple things that have been cluttering up the laundry room for a few weeks. I think I'm at 109/350 (and I need to change my signature).

The closet is about 1/3 full... need to move this crap on out, now.

Working on the pantry... what a black hole.

I'm in for the Classic Amyst1st Challenge: 500 items!

I actually hit the 250 I was going for last month, but I never updated my sig. Talk about lack of closure.

I did a quick clean up of the bathroom.

143/500

Hey AM!!! If I reach my goal can I try some of the wine??

Here I go....
34/2000

OK the garage sale is OVER!!!!!

2 bookshelves
1 table
4 chairs
1 crockpot
400 articles of clothes!!!!
5 random spray cans
3 dog items
150 books/school supplies
20 office supplies
3 candle sets
15 toys (stuffed animals, ride ons, random things)
40 dishes
3 stereo stuff
1 blower
15 bathroom items
5 bottles
50 random baby items
1 dog igloo

I didn't count everything but I think those are fair estimates.

I am doing the kitchen challenge. I also need to work in the garage. We moved in about 1 1/2 months ago and my garage is still full and unpacked. We plan on having a big "just moved in don't have room for it" sale at the end of February. My sister may be coming to stay with us for a month or two so I need to make room for her and her son and their things.
Mom came over today and I returned about 20 things I'd borrowed, plus I gave my sister a couple things I wasn't using anymore (a DVD, a scented candle, and I think something else). I also threw away some more toys that are useless without their missing counterparts - I decided it's not worth my time to save them until the other pieces show up; I am STILL missing toys I lost at the beginning of last year.

My current total: 152/350 up from 109/350

I got 25 things just out of the pantry this evening. Most of it was just trash. A couple things with worms in them (eeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwww). I had 3 open containers of apple cider vinegar that I condensed into one and got rid of the two empty bottles. Some of the stuff I tossed moved to this house with us about 1 1/2 years ago.

DH got about 24 computer cables!!! This from a man who thinks there is no such thing as too many computer cables. I'm not sure if I should count this or not. I didn't tell him about the challenge specifically, but did tell him I am trying to get rid of stuff. Plus, my goal for the month is on the white board beside my desk, which he could easily see.

Anyway, unless someone convinces me to count DH's computer cables, I'm now at 25/200 items for the month!!!

count those cables !!!
my drumset sold yesterday and left the house this morning. it was/is (?) a 5 piece set and I'm counting every damned piece i'm doing the kitchen cahallenge too and since they were in the kitchen, that's double progress.

gifted a (small) box of baby clothes today.

i worked on my bookshelf and pulled a few books but they are still sitting in the kitchen. :

i discovered a place to re-sell baby clothes. so i get to make money and de-clutter at the same time with out the work of a garage sale.

so anyway my current tally is 6

was able to get rid too many to be count but I'd say 49 items today most are going to VV. It took me little at time to time. -- Time for me to update a siggy with my tally.

If these Freecycle people would pick up they're stuff, I could add at least FIFTY marks to my decluttering list. UUGGHHH!!!

Am I bad/wrong for counting stuff as I pack it up for donating? Do I need to wait until I actually take it? I was just planning to make a big trip when I have about a carload?

: I am so sick of this!! I am so happy to think I"m getting rid of something, then it sits outside for days while I email back and forth with the person, and they never show up! Then I'm back where I started, trying to get the thing out of my house! I am getting really fed up.

No, I count it- I can't drive to the thrift shop every time I fill up a bag, so I count it as it goes into bags. I keep the bags in an unobtrusive closet, so for all intents and purposes it is gone!

My goal for Feb. will be 300. It was doable in Jan. I cleaned out 2 cabinets in the kitchen that had become places to stuff junk over the 4.5 yrs we've lived here. It felt GREAT to throw out so many useless bits of plastic and fuzzy gross things just sitting in junk containers. Many more cabinets and drawers to go!

I don't know how to count miscellaneous bits of crap, so I'll just say 30, plus at least 5 other toys and items of clothes since the beginning of the month.

35/300!

It was a successful weekend, Mommas! The carload of stuff went to my mother's, the other carload was completed and taken to St. Vincent de Paul and I have another box and a half already for SVDP in the corner of my dining room.

If I've gotten rid of fewer than 2000 things over the past month, I'd be shocked. And now that DH is seeing how cleared out and uncluttered the rest of the house is, he's talking about doing "his" room (we have a second tv/family room in our finished basement that's his domain).

Now that I'm clearing out my house, I'm almost thinking it's too big!

Happy decluttering!
