i think it's a little of both.

i am going to focus on the bigger kids as well as the mamas and the papas (if I have any suitable yarn for a dad ) since there always seems to be a wealth of baby stuff, knitted or otherwise.

Plus as we head into the latter part of 2007, if we are lacking small(er) items we will still be able to crank out itty bitty stuff since it knits up so quickly.

I have some burp cloths with matching bibs that I am finishing up that I can donate, and after that I'll start some work on some older kids/mama/papa items.

I seem to have a ton of random baby hats around here too that I should dig up to donate. I mean really, how many hats do two girls really need? lol

Yeah, this is kind of how I've been feeling too. I haven't gotten nearly as much knitting done as I expected to, but I am slowly working on some things!

Simple, warm hat/neckwarmer
Hat that uses smaller amounts of yarn
Hat that uses scrap yarn
Beautiful booble hat
Quick and beautiful scarf
Easy child's hoodie
Beautiful fingerless gloves
Adorable baby hat - I've modified this pattern to fit toddler sizes, and to add ear coverer things that tie under the child's neck.

I am unfortunately going to have to make my February stuff be for March as we've had the plague here and I haven't been able to finish them yet.

I changed the title of this Thread. I think we probably don't need a separate thread for each month.

I haven't really started what I was planning to do yet either, so no worries. We are all just doing the best we can!

Do you think the mods could make this thread a sticky, since we're donating everything that we make?

It would also be easier to keep track of it that way.

Unfortunately, I didn't get much knitting done this month.
Too much overtime at work combined with constant sports practices/cub scout meetings.

I really want to get some things accomplished this month.

I'm trying to get back in the knitting groove... I'm not a fast knitter (though I hope to remedy that by learning continental soon) and I have four projects that I need to cast on and finish before I can start with HH stuff.

My point being, as soon as I catch up I'd like to knit a couple of things for the HH.

alrighty I have a pair of wee nb longies and a hat thats about an 18mt-2T . I am sure my kids winter knits from this year will still be like new as we had no winter this year and can be put in the donation pile.

I am trying to get my yarns organized for easier choices in knitting, I am finding that I have a lot of girly yarns and no boy yarns. If anyone has boy or GN yarns to donate let me know

I finished up another hat this weekend! Wool, cream, and I would say for a 8-10 year old ( I also did one for a AIDS auction!!)

My new laptop had *issues* and everything had to be dumped and I'm starting from scratch again.
