me...i'm 36 weeks. I am not ready yet, I still have soooo much nesting to do. I am still concerned about this full moon coming tomorrow. I had a goal of trying to have everything ready by tomorrow just in case the full moon makes me go into labor but I've had a scary setback. Tonight I was cooking dinner and something happened to the stovetop and sparks started shooting out of the burner (like up to 4 feet) I jumped back then kindof froze then started screaming for DH. He came in and turned the burner off. Turns out the pan got so hot that it actually melted a hole through the thick stainless steel pan. Needless to say, I thought this event was going to set me into labor. Well, thinking everything was under control with the stove, I looked over about 4 feet from the stove and my pile of dirty laundy, which I was getting ready to take downstairs, was on fire. I threw the ones that were on fire into the sink of dish water. After I finally sat down and caught my breath the baby started going crazy. I really scared it I'm sure. The smoke alarm scared it too. I am thankful this situation wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been. The stove was about 20 years old so it was time for it to go bad. Now, I am going to spend the day before the full moon out looking for a new stove. I'm so glad to get this taken care of now then having it happen when the baby had already been born. Oh yeah, my dinner was ruined, that made it even worse.
A reminder: check your smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, etc....you never know when something can happen.
