i'm such a slacker.

36w4d and our babies still don't have names

we were pretty settled on some names a while back but i just wasn't feeling them, in the end... baby boy will probably end up being adam, the first name we'd originally chosen (also would have been dd's name if she were a boy!) but that's not set in stone, i dislike that it's really common, and i don't know what middle name he's going to have. we also considered grayson but dh's name is jason and i think that's a little hokey to have rhyming names. jonas is another contender, since it's an anagram of jason, but i'm just not feeling that either, kwim? and poor baby girl? noooo idea. NONE. i can't think of a single thing! dh wants eloise but i think it sounds dowdy next to juliet, which is dd's name. that's the problem with the girl's name... my daughter's name ended up being SO perfectly fitting for her, and i love it so much, that it's nearly impossible for me to find a name THAT PERFECT again :

anyone else slackin' this bad? i feel like a horrible parent, LOL. i don't even want to LOOK at name books or think about names because it just frustrates me. i'm hoping i look at my babies and the names just come to me, because otherwise, well... i'm sure "A" and "B" will be great additions to the family, nameless or not

PS- i'm so proud for making it to february! with dd i was in a january '05 birth club and she was born 12/31/04... i felt so gipped. i feel like i've accomplished something, which is probably stupid but nevertheless enthralling to me :P

We have names picked out but it took a while to come up with a boy's name we like....

I'm glad you made it this far too! And, to be 36+ weeks with two babies in your belly, you have the right to slack as much as you want, IMO!

We don't have a name picked out yet. We like a few and might have one name that we must have but really in OHIO we have 10 days so I'm going to take my time and figure it out...I told DH we will sit down with the book maybe a day later and start talking... Gosh I'm so lazy this time

We only have middle names picked out and the only reason that was easy is because dh wants his name as the middle name for a boy and since dd's middle name is my mom's middle name, he'd like to honor his mom.

So baby will either be ? Matthew H. or ? Marie H. Dh wants to wait to see the baby before we name it. Who knows what we'll end up with!

Tomarrow is my shower and we plan on playing a game where everyone guesses the weight, length, birth day, gender and I'm going to throw name in there (have them give me one boy name and one girl name) because we're out of ideas and nothing really feels right to either of us.

You're not alone...we have the girl's name picked out (I think!) but the boy's list has been narrowed down to about 10, which is good considering we went for months being unable to compromise AT ALL....

Sometimes it is better to wait on the names. We had our names picked out long before conception and we have spent the entire pregnancy defending our choice for a boy name. BF's mother even briefly tried to disown him over it! Next time, I will probably tell people we haven't decided until the little one arrives!

Yup my baby is baby no name and I honestly can not think of anything I like. Luckily I have time after its born before I need to register its birth lol

Not in your ddc, but thought I'd let you know I'm slacking too.

I'm right there with you...frustrated at the thought of trying to figure it out. I'm sick of thinking about it!

I just have to trust the name will come to me/us after I see the baby. Like with all the others...we didn't have any names until the were born either. My last one was 6 days old! I hope we have one before then! :

Good to hear I'm not the only one! I have lots of names I like, just haven't run across "the one" yet! I made the mistake of telling my dad the other day one of our girl names (since we feel like it's a girl) and he said he didn't like it, it was too confusing. I told him I didn't care what he thought, that if he wanted to choose the name then he should go have his own baby! He thought that was pretty funny.

we had our names picked out and then today I realized that the girl name just wasn't right! We have a few more weeks to figure it out. If it's a boy there's no doubt, but i have the same feeling that i won't find a name that is as great as our daughter's.
