HAPPY 3 MONTH BIRTHDAY!!

Ethan has not rolled over yet. But when he's on the floor on his back he propels himself around in a circle lol. It's so cute! One minute he's facing one direction and the next he's turned 180 degrees.

He sleeps thru the night. Once in a blue moon he wakes up around 1 or 2am for a snack but its very rare.

He nurses great, to tell ya the truth, I don't know how much. Sometimes every hour, sometimes every 2-4.

He gets up in the morning and usually falls asleep around 9am for his 4 hour nap. Gets up, takes another short nap, and then is awake until he goes to bed... anywhere between 6-8 usually.

He also sits up on his elbows when he's on his tummy. Such a lil man. He has the cutest little grin!

Another Nov. baby

Would you please add me to the November list?

Benjamin Louis was born on Nov. 23. We had planned on using a birth center but, after 53 hours and me not being able to progress past 6 cm, we had to have a c-section But the good news was that we had a very healthy boy who weighed in at 9 lbs 10 oz and was 21 1/2 inches long. Ben is now 24 inches and somewhere over 15 lbs (our scale at home is +/- 1/2 a lb.). A very big boy! He also has a very large head so we were very excited when he began holding his head up this week. When I saw some other babies who were born about the same time as him at our play group yesterday almost sitting by themselves, I realized how much work Ben has to do on his head control. I'm trying not to compare his development with other babies but it's hard some times!

I look forward with talking to other Nov. moms!

: I have a kidney infection. How is it that I had such a great time birthing my baby and had no problem working through that pain, and I am such a wus when I am sick? Keeping a 3 month old happy and fed when you aren't feeling well just plain sucks!

Well, little Eden has slept 8 hours the past 2 nights. I can't wait till my boobs sort it out (I am still waking at 7 hours in a puddle!).

We are taking Eden on her first camping trip coming weekend! We will be cabin camping in a primitive cabin w/ no electricity, an outhouse and a wood cook stove. We are going w/ 2 other couples w/ babies! I'm so excited! Can't wait to get out hiking again! We'll get to see just how out of shape I have really gotten.

Eden is rolling from tummy to back. We don't even really do tummy time because she hates it so much, but I put her down on her tummy one day last week and over she went. Now that she knows that trick, I'll probably never be able to get her to do tummy time again!

My little social butterfly laughed at 6 weeks. Nobody believed us, including the pediatrician. I had to make her laugh for him! She has been very precocious with the social skills! She'll probably be talking next month

I just have to say it is weird for me to see my name so much since normally I only see it if it a post is directed at me! You have great taste!

I HAVE NO CLUE!!! Grace was so different. She did the 45 minute (usually more like 15 min at a time!) but I've just kind of let Ethan do his own thing and he's worked out his own schedule. I was WAY too obessed w/getting Grace to be on a schedule. That didn't benefit anybody!

How soon did everyone get their period back once their babies started sleeping thru the night? Ethan has been sleeping thru the night for a long time, and I still haven't had mine. With Grace (I know everyone and every baby is different) I got mine back pretty soon. I noticed awhile back that after my lochia stopped there was a break and then I started very lightly spotting, then it was gone. I guess the reason I bring it up is because I've felt some symptoms lately and I'm wondering if DH has some flying sperm going on !

ETA: I LOVE the name Eden! It was one of my top picks for Grace. Ethan isn't rolling over yet. Only in the morning, he'll roll from his side or back onto his tummy trying to eat his hand because he's so hungry! Otherwise no rolling and no laughing.

Also, when your babe sits up what does their spine look like? Ethan's has somewhat of a curve towards the bottom.

Well Morgan doesn't sit up on her own,not even close, but when I sit her up and support her her back is pretty much in a C shape. the only way she stay up with out falling over is when she puts her hands between her knees... and I tend to this that's an accident when it happens.

Kati just updated us on another board. She is doing well, off all her meds and in FL w/ her mom right now. Louie should be back from Iraq in July and start attending college soon. They probably won't ttc till 2012 which she says is very hard for her, but she will be the breadwinner while he's in school so just makes more sense to them. I have her e-mail addy if anyone wants it.

It sounds like her sweet babe died of a prolapsed cord which really hit me like a ton of bricks, for some reason I didn't know that piece...I'm so sorry for her loss...

My DS laughed for the first time last night in the bath tub. He HATED baths for the longest time so we only did them once a week. Then I would just put him in the bath with me. Well the last few times he has been liking the bath more and more. DD decided she was going to take one with us last night and he just started laughing and laughing. It was so cute. Gotta go, he is waking up.

Last night Fiona shot wide awake about an hour after falling asleep, crying hard and unconsolably. I tried changing her, walking her, shushing, offering the breast several times, giving her my finger to gnaw on, etc. NOTHING worked for about 20 minutes. Then she fell asleep as though nothing had happened and continued sleeping through the night.

Anyone experience anything like this? Could it be night terrors? She wasn't spitting up or gagging, which would make me think it was her reflux. She wasn't warm or feverish. Is this a teething thing? It seems early for her to be teething. I also wondered if it could be a growth spurt warning?

Thanks for any help. Hope everyone is doing well.

Lilienne has done that a few times -- it's like something scares her awake, and she gets so worked up that she can't calm down, and finally gets too sleepy to bother with crying anymore. That particular cry is so sad but cute--how anyone could let their babies cry like that on purpose is beyond me, I can't help but hold her.

All I know to do if nothing else works is just to let her know I'm there, and she can safely fall back asleep when she's ready.

Oh my!!!! I have to catch up on my reading!!! This may take awhile!!!

Well we are doing great!! Jaxon is 3 months old! He is a chubby litltle man (about 16 pounds) and he is always smiling and squealing with delight....he "talks" like crazy and still hasn't managed to roll over yet but he realizes when he kicks his feet that it makes noise (thanks to the slippers my sister bought him with built in rattles) We nurse on demand and I honestly couldn't tell you how much he wakes up in the night because we co-sleep and i barely remember feeding him!!! He is such a joy....Our almost 4 year old DS never slept, always projectile vomitted, and was extremely fussy....he still doesn't sleep to this day so it is true when they say every baby is different because my boys are complete opposite!!
Our DD just turned 7!!!!! yep I said 7!!!! I can't believe that!!! She is such a sweet little lady!!!
So like I said everything is good except we have been recycling a cold/ flu since literally christmas and now Jaxon has it....i feel so bad for him!!! Now that we have three children and DP is gone weeks at a time I am such a scatterbrain but I absolutely love staying at home and enjoying all my beautiful children!!!
I am sure I could talk forever and brag and brag and brag but I better not!!! Good to hear from everyone!! Take care
Oh and I absolutely LOVE cloth diapering!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Libby had done that a few times. The best DH and I can figure is that she's reacting to an overstimulating day - it's always happenned when we've been out a lot. So after we've gone down the list (breast/diaper/burp/cuddle/rock etc.) we've just held her until she's done. Luckily it's never lasted longer than 1/2 hour.

When DS does this I give him some grip water. He then lets out some rather loud burps and goes to sleep. This only happens about once a week or so... so I don't give it to him often but he is generally a much happier baby for it. (grip water is also good for teething, hiccups, and upset tummies.)

Hi, all! DD is still refusing the breast...each day we go to a different specialist...I've seen a lactation consultant, DD's Ped., a naturapathic physician, tomorrow another ped. EVERYONE IS STUMPED! I've even written to Dr. Jack Newman...Poor old DD is on GERD meds (just in case) and I'm going on Diflucan for Candida (just in case)...

Has anyone dealt with a nursing strike? How long did it last? What did you do?
