I think I FEEL the best I have in nine months! It was actually weird how GOOD I felt afterwards...I think most of it was from relief that he was okay and then from the relief that I could EAT again!! (I had HG and was restricted on sugar as well.) I've been eating non-stop since...I told my mom I'd end up weighing more at my 6 week ppd check than I did during pregnancy...oops! But I must say, chocolate has never tasted SOOOOO good!

Though too, I got lucky with the labor and delivery. They started Pit at 6:30 and my water broke near 9. I started really feeling the contractions after that, and really only HURT for a few hours. At 10:50 I was 6cm. By 11:20 I was feeling a lot of pressure, but didn't have them check me until nearly noon because I was afraid I'd be disappointed in not progressing...but I was actually complete! They called my doc in and he told them to start me practice pushing...the nurse told me to really, really just "practice" because the baby was so low. I half-way "practiced" once and we waited until the doc got there. One push and he was out after that...so I definitely think I got it easy this go around...we were very blessed.

I LOVE those little knitted pants and hat! Did you make them?

He is just precious and makes me long to hold this baby in my arms... I am so happy you are feeling well and that you had such an easy labor despite the pit. Glad you are both OK!!

I didn't make the pants and hat...wish I could knit, but I totally can't. A friend of mine in a sewing group I belong to made them for us - she's really talented and dies her own yarn!! They can be used as diaper covers, but we will use them as pants only...we've never had wool longies before so I don't think I could bring myself to let him pee in them...hehehehehe!

Don't be afraid of wool longies!! Have they been lanolized? I can help you with wool if you want! Just ask! (Or check out the diapering forum, they are great!)

Peeing in them is actually not that bad. If they get poop on them you'll need to wash them, but pee just airs out and they are actually quite waterproof. I use wool shorties at night with DS.
