Adopting a child with Special Needs - Page 2

I've been looking for a thread like this. However, I am deeply wanting to adopt a Deaf child. Is this off-topic/should I start a new post? Or does this fit within special needs?

Has any one here adopted a Deaf or Hard of Hearing child before? Any known sources would be GREATLY appreciated!!

I would start a new post--you may reach more moms with info on your specific topic.

BTW--I know in many international programs, there are deaf waiting children. Sometimes they're a bit older, because it's taken a while for deafness to be diagnosed.

Wow, thank you! I will have to wait before starting a new post, when I am able to visit the forums more. Thank you for letting me know. What is older? I'm interested in adopting a Deaf child between the ages of 30 months - 5 years old. I absolutely cannot WAIT.
