I have a hunk of shea butter...now what?

I bought some off Ebay and I'm not sure how to use it. I guess I expected it to be softer and more pliable...it's just not very user-friendly!

Is there something I can do to it to make it easier to use? I feel like I'm trying to smear hard little lumps all over my skin.

On the wrapper of my shea butter, it says to put a little in your palms and warm it up first. I just scoop a bit into my hands and then rub my palms together, then apply it.

put a couple oz of the sb and an .5 oz of olive oil or oil of choice in a bowl and whip it with your hand blender till fulffy or to desired consistency. add some eo for a bit of fragrance. you can soften the sb a bit in the microwave, don't melt...or just start whipping at room temp...add olive afer you have whipped it a bit. HTH!!
