Massachusetts intactivists needed

Please feel free to repost:

Major headway has been achieved in the goal of making male genital
mutilation for anyone under the age of 18, irrespective of parent's
wishes or religious beliefs, a CRIME in Massachusetts!

I think this is as far as any of the MGM bills presented to any State
or Commonwealth has been able to achieve to date!

We sincerely need residents of Massachusetts to CALL their elected
SENATOR and voice your SUPPORT for SD-01348. Feel free to call,
write, fax, e-mail -- but let it be known that amputating infant's
genitals will no longer be tolerated in this Commonwealth!

Please TAKE ACTION TODAY!

If you are a RESIDENT of Massachusetts and support this movement,
please join our Yahoo Group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MGMbill-
MA/ All persons that join ARE telephoned and verified as residents
of Massachusetts as well as SUPPORTERS of this bill. You MUST follow
the directions e-mailed to you in order to get access to this private
Yahoo group! This process is important to keep the baby-cutters out
of this group where we discuss out tactics, plans and efforts to
ensure swift approval of this bill into law.

Thank you!

Sincerely,
Charles A. Antonelli,
MGMbill-MA (MGMbill.org's Massachusetts State Office)

Thanks so much for passing this on to your Mass friends. This state is on the verge of something big and it's a time when people can really have an impact.

I'm not in Mass or know anyone there, but I sure do support this bill. I REALLY hope it passes because usually all it takes is ONE state to get the ball rolling.

There were some efforts in MA to get Medicaid to stop funding circumcision. I think that effort has much more of a chance of going somewhere....
As much as I support the MGM initiative, I don't think it is likely to go anywhere and I think is more likely to start off on the wrong foot, so to speak.

Just a thought... and I really wish our society was NOT like this, but unfortunatly, I think this is too big of a jump to take.

I think I'd rather spend my time starting with the Medicaid funding and then use that effort to push 'mutilation' legislation.
