Do circ'd men get pearly penile papules?

I know it's quite common for intact men to get pearly penile papules and that they're normal and harmless. But I've never heard/seen a circ'd man who had them. Is this phenomenon exclusive to intact men? What causes them to develop anyway, and why (if it's true that circ'd men don't get them) only in intact men?

My son had them underneath his circ site. His penile adhesions had created a pocket beneath the glans where they formed.

His pediatrician told us that it happens all the time on circumcised little boys who are circed and develop adhesions.

So it seems that it's still related to the foreskin, in that they develop in the place where the foreskin readheres. Is there a known specific cause?

I've seen them on adult circ'd men.

If they are what I think they are (just a bump, no pus), then my dh had one once, and he's not circ'd. He was going to go to the doctor for it, but when he called, the doc made some joke about cutting his penis off. Obviously, that made it not worth it to get the bump checked out! It went away on its own. I don't remember how long it took.

The papules have nothing to do with adhesions. They form soley on the corona give or take a millimeter. As far as i know nobody has ever determined what they are for or even what they are made of. They look a lot like tastebuds and are rarely found on circed males. I think that the keritinization of the circumcised penis restricts the papules from protruding. Since i started restoring i have aquired a few as my glans has become softer. Ive read alot about penises and have yet to find any detailed imformation about the papules, probably because they are so rare in circumcised males and most american men (doctors) are circumcised so the chance and motivation to study them is very limited. If someone finds more info i would be very interested to learn more as well.

Um, I was trying to remember who it was that I remembered seeing them on. And come to think of it, he was intact, so never mind.
