We're HOME!!!

OMG, it feels so GOOD too be home now.. The section went GREAT, and was no where near the bad experience i had last time. In fact everything went very, very smoothly.. I am a bit sore, but feel really, really good..

I was up and walking about 4 hrs after i had him, and by the Wed morning I was all on my own.. Took out Catheter, and IV.. I showered, and went potty, and everything. The staff was amazed at how well I was doing, that I conned them into letting me go 3 days early. We have too go back too L&D tomorrow. Lucas * yes we changed his name * has a bit of Jaundice,so they want too meter read him on the 5th day of life, too see what his numbers are.. Plus I need too go back too have staples removed. So, we go tomorrow too do this.
It is COLD here too.. 15 below for the next few days, so I hate the fact that I have too take him out in that, but we gotta do what we gotta do..

Sooooooooooooo... Lucas James was born via section at 9:48am Jan30th.. He weighed in at 8 pounds 3 ounces ..201/2 inches..38wk2d gestation.. the reason I posted this is because Lucas is the biggest baby I ever carried and gave birth too.. He outweighed my other 3 by 2 pounds, and he is also 1.2 inches longer then my other 3.. No wonder I was uncomfy..

He is just so precious.. The kids think he is AWESOME..I am just so much in love right now. Gosh he is just so gorgeous, but I am bias...I am adding some pics for you ladies too see Thank you for all the support and love over the last 9 months.. I would have gone nuts w/out all of you

Congrats, Missy! He is so precious! So glad that your recovery is going well. Enjoy your baby moon.

Try and nurse him a lot today and lay him naked in a sunny window. Wake him if you have to to nurse (jaundiced babies are usually sleepy). This is really the best way to deal with the jaundice.

Missy he is BEAUTIFUL!!! You all look so good! I'm really happy things are going so well... and I agree with Yonit - make sure he nurses a ton today and tonight, and before you go in for the next blood test. Your milk is a laxative and will help him clear the bilirubin out of his system. Just nurse nurse nurse!!

I can't wait to hear more about how you are doing!!

congratulations!! he's beautiful! welcome lucas -- love the name as well.

ds1 had a bit of jaundice as well. since we were in hospital ages it wasn't considered a big thing -- we just put him in the window. smil said that it was nice that he had a bit of jaundice, made him look like he had a tan...: that's one i won't forget anytime soon.

i'm delighted things went so smoothly.
