Tell me about using Klean Kanteen for sippy cups..

I have decided that I really want to buy a few of these for my toddler & do away with plastic sippy cups but now I am hesitant because I have read reviews/testimonials that Klean Kanteen Adapters leak:

What has been your experience with them?

Should I just go ahead & buy them (with the adaptor) & use Avent sipper tops?

Help! : TIA

You could also look into Sigg sippies. I went with Sigg b/c of the leaky K.K. reviews and found an ebay store with free shipping on the Sigg. Although, the top is more like a sports bottle. I guess that could be why they don't leak as bad??

We haven't really used the sippy yet. DD is only 5-months old. She has started grabbing our drinking glasses and pulling to her mouth and that prompted me to go ahead and get one. It's pretty heavy and I didn't realize that she'd have to suck the water out.

My KK does not leak at all.

Mollybeesmamma- You went with Sigg b/c your kk was leaking? Does that mean your Sigg does not leak? We have a sigg in the colorful toddler design and it just flows water freely right out of the top. It is the opossite of leak proof. If you turn it on its side or upside down the liquid literally pours out. Is yours not like this? Is mine defective?

I don't have a KK, just the Sigg. I had read reviews on the KK leaking, which prompted me to try the Sigg first. I haven't noticed the leak with the Sigg--I'd retest it but it's packed for moving. It has the twisty top with the little hole. It's like a sports bottle top, but you can't squeeze the bottle to make the water come out so it has to be sucked out. I wasn't aware of this when I bought it (the top being designed as such).

I am planning to try out the KK sippy too.

I have a toddler Sigg, and although it doesn't "leak", if it is turned open for my DD to drink out of it, the water flows freely so there is nothing stopping her from dumping it all out - which she does of course!

We have 2 of the KK sippy cups and have had no problems with leaking. We love them!

I love LOVE our kk's. I have only noticed leaking when the lid hasn't been sealed properly or dd loosened it. It leaks absolutely no worse than any other sippy we've had and is better than many.

I use the 27oz kk and the water still has a fresh taste even hours later. I really like that I can screw the sippy top onto the 18oz containers for when we go out (less refilling).

I'm very pleased with them - our whole family uses kk and we've got 8 bottles in various sizes.

We use the KK sippy. I'm wary of the 'inert lining' on the SIGG containers. Our KK sippy has leaked a few times, but it's only if I'm careless putting the lid on. Can't complain about the product over my inept actions!

We are very happy with our KK sippy and DS is quite displeased that DH left it in the airplane we dropped off for maintenance lately. He keeps calling out, "Cahn- TEEEEEEEN???" and looking for it. He's more than displeased. He's pissed....and we won't see it again until March. EEK!
