Diva Cup is giving my cramps!

I bought a diva cup today and I seem to have opposite complaints from what others here have said. I find it really easy to use (I got the hang of it right away) and I love how clean and easy it is, but it's giving me cramps like when I use tampons! Granted, tampons hurt like a mofo to put in and this doesn't, but still, I usually don't get menstrual cramps. Will my body get used to this or what?

I think there is an adjustment period with the Diva. Maybe just use it for a couple hours at a time the first cycle and then work up to all day.

I have heard that anything internal can cause cramps---even if it IS something wonderful like the Diva! You could always try the sea sponges.

Just an update - today is much different. Cramps are going away, so apparently, I just needed to adjust. Taking it in and out more often than needed didn't help, I'm sure!

Glad you're feelin better.

Years ago when I used tampons, I realized that was what was causing the bad cramps I suffered for years. Then I switched to pads and now cloth pads for over a year, and I dont have any cramping.

I've found that sometimes my body needs a break from the Keeper, and I use cloth pads for a cycle or only use my keeper for the first couple of days and then use only cloth. I have felt like it was kind of pulling on my insides before. Not a nice feeling. But mostly, it is as comfy and hassle free as can be!
