Our local Whole Foods had a coloring contest and our oldest dd won!!! The grand prize is $200 worth of their fresh catch brand of frozen seafood. We get to choose from all the different kinds.
Since we usually can't afford seafood (except salmon in a can) or fish bones and heads to make a broth I'm totally out of my element.
Our youngest has some medical issues and according to chinese medicine she is too yin, and damp, deficient in kidney and liver. I am trying to figure out which seafoods are warming. So far...shrimp and salmon. I don't think she'd eat eel or octopus, mackrel and some of the other warming fish, unless I make a broth out of those.
I can't find out anywhere if fish like tilapia, mahi mahi, or some of the other fish I can expect to find in the freezer case will be warming.
Anyone have suggestions?
