"coldest weather in 2 years!!" YIKES.

http://www.erh.noaa.gov/forecast/Map...te=NY&site=BUF

at least we don't live where it's snowing now or in the "snowbelt area," but we are close enough to the lake to get intense lake effect snow from time to time.

i haven't had any bloody show and no sign of my water breaking, but contractions woke me up at 4:30 this AM and they don't show much sign of stopping, though they haven't gotten to much more intense.

my poor midwife... i made dh read "emergency childbirth" last night.

I'm in MN and we are below 0 right now... not a bad time to hole up in the house with a new baby... hope he comes soon! It's making me seriously procrastinate about those last few errands I have to run before he shows up, though.

OMG I know. The whole next week is supposed to be just awful. Hopefully Meg is used to that kind of thing though eh?

Yeesh. It's freezing here too. Hopefully all goes perfectly for you!

My beautiful midwife lent us her pediatrician's scale so we can monitor the babes' weights here in our toasty house. I DO NOT want to be pressured into taking tiny babies out into the cold to appease some weird doctor rituals. :

It's pretty awful here in Michigan too, I think usually what we get, gets to you about a day later? Take care and stay warm... hopefully your MW has 4WD and can get to you when you need her!!

Our forecast is fairly nasty too!! Hope we can make it to the hospital if something happens. My contrax have been stronger today, but I'm not convinced that labor is close.

Heh, it's 2* out right now, with the windchill at something like -20. High tomorrow of 4*. BBBRRRRRR!

And dh adn I managed to spill something in the oven last night from dinner, which made a lovely smoky mess when I turned it on today.. HAD to open the windows (we all put our coats on!!!)

I know, coldest temperatures here too (MD). Tonight it's supposed to be 10, I think, and tomorrow night, a whopping 5. 5! It hasn't been that cold in a VERY long time. At least (knock on wood!) it's not precipitating at all, nor is it supposed to. I can handle cold, it's the snow and ice I worry about. And since I've been having irregular contractions for 6 days now and can feel my bag of waters when I checked my cervix yesterday, I'm thinkin it's GOT to be close, right?

I'm gonna go walk the mall on Tuesday and see if I can get things moving.

Yah, COLD for sure.

I emailed a friend in Hawaii, who answered with "it's 77 and sunny" - I asked if we could split the difference and both be cold, and she LAUGHED and laughed and laughed...
