Hi, well for about the last week or 2, ds has been complaining about his teeth hurting at the top front. It's every day and most when he bites into food. He gets angry and upset.

We have a dentists appointment this week, but im scared. Have I not been giving him enough calcium?? Is there a disease its likely to be?? At what age do kids teeth fall out and the adult teeth come through? hes only 4..

Tonight before bed, I felt with my finger around his gums top and bottom front and sides (all around) he said it was sore everywhere. It seems seriously, im really worried, please help

thanks for moving it, I never saw this topic area!

His teeth are not loose at all, but hes refusing to eat bread crusts and now having trouble with biscuits because they are hard. He seemed ok with an apple though. Our appointment is tomorrow so I will see what she says about it.

Im thinking he might not be getting enough calcium so Ive asked in the food nutrition forum how much calcium a 4yr old needs daily in mg, so I can work out how much of his soya milk he needs to meet that amount. The only milk he has is in his morning porridge which he never finished and doesnt have every single day. Some days he has a soya yoghurt. SO maybe increasing calcium will help, i'll mention it to the dentist too, because hes on soya maybe she will recommend a calcium supplement.

Could he be getting his adult molars in the way back? My son got his at 4 and his mouth was pretty sore for a while there.
