rainbowmoon- take a look at the sample options from Everyday Minerals. I too have rosacea and they offer one to cover up redness. It's green, like most products for rosacea.

I too just ordered the sample pack. Yeah, so cheap. I'll post back how well it does for redness. I wish they would let you sample the eye shadow as well. I'm just pale and red so I just went with the palest foundation for pink skin tones and ordered it in the 3 styles.

Everyday minerals is affordable, excellent customer service and good quality. They don't have any harmful fillers like some other brands do (like bare minerals - yuck!).

I have looked at several different brands and I think the Everyday Minerals is cheapest?

I am going to check out those samples! thanks for the tip!

I just wanted to say that I ordered samples from Everyday Minerals b/c of this thread and they arrived yesterday. I'm in love! It works so well and it didn't take hardly any of it to give me full coverage! When I get my next paycheck I'm going to order the Everything kit (comes with bunches of stuff, including a free make-up bag!). It said on their blog that lip colors would be coming out very soon. Thanks everyone who posted about this brand!!!

Oh, look at the blog on the Everyday Minerals website and you can read tons of tips and info. about the make-up (i.e. I found out you can use a clear gloss, which I already had, and then apply the face/blush color and it makes a beautiful lip color!).

I ordered the EM samples as well. But I have a question: I don't use foundation. Is it necessary to use it with EM before I put on the blush color? I typically use a bit of powder (maybelline) on my nose and forehead just in the morning. I really don't want to have to put foundation on if I can avoid it.

Any thoughts?

I really doubt you'd have to, I'm sure you can use it the same as regular blush.

I got a sample of EM too and LOVE it. I haven't even read the ingredients list though, I need to do that. But it's SOoooo better than the heavy, greasy, crappy stuff I was using before, it makes my skin look great.

The ingredients list is wonderful. Completely nontoxic. There is a page on the site that actually compares its ingredients with those of other cosmetics, including other mineral makeups.

Everyday Minerals says that it has mica in it. I thought mica was a no-no? I am really looking for some sort of mineral makeup that will give good coverage for my blotchy skin and spider veins.

I love Alima Cosmetics mineral makeup. There isn't any added crap in it. They sell samples for $1 or $2 and it lasts forever. They also have the BEST customer service ever. http://www.alimacosmetics.com/

I use Larenim and No Miss Nailcare mineral pigments. Neither one is super pricey for eyeshadow-type color and they last *forever*, especially if you don't dip a used applicator in the whole container.

Do you use the foundation too? I have been looking at this brand. I have tried several and can't find one I really like. I love the colors and coverage of Bare Minerals but it makes my skin soooooo oily. I like the semi matte of the Everyday Minerals but find that formula doesn't cover nearly as well as the BM and the other EM formula. I didn't get as good of a color match either.
I am wondering of the Larenim is good for oily skin?

I love that I can now cover up my horrible skin but not look like I am wearing any makeup at all.
I was really disappointed in the matte and semi-matte. They didn't give me the same coverage nor did they feel as nice as the regular formula. I'd love to hear what you think. I am still in search of a good mineral makeup that doesn't make my skin oily. I am willing to pay more too if anyone has suggestions.

One more question. I was just looking at the brushes on the EM site because I really need a new brush. Which do you like best? They have a couple of different Kabuki brushes and an angled brush (that is out of stock). I just don't know which one to get. Thanks!

Has anyone tried mineral eye shadow? I can't wear regular eye shadow because it makes my eyes all bloodshot, which just isn't a good look

Is the mineral eye shadow more gentle?

I have used mineral eyeshadows, for a long time I wore contacts and couldn't even think of putting on eye makeup. But mineral makeup hasn't bothered me, I use bare essentuals - cuz it's easy to find, I have tried larenim and everyday minerals, none of them caused me any problems.

I too ordered a sample from Everyday Minerals. I can't wait. If it's have as good as y'all have said, I'll LOVE it.

I do have rosacea pretty badly, well it comes in waves. EM gives me a really good coverage and it does not make it worse, although it does not improve my rosacea either. My skin is very dry, too. I love it especially during the times, when my skin is dark-purple. I have a fair concealer, it gives better coverage. I don't mind if a bit can be seen of my redness, but I find it covers really well. For the lips I use their blush (forgot the name) sometimes. You can just put any of the colors on the lips and interchange the colors.

As you can see, I got a big package for my last birthday

@celestialdreamer

Do you have a source for mica being toxic? I always thought it was very inert, non-cancerogeneous and non-toxic. But maybe I am wrong here?

EM gives really good coverage for my rosacea.
