Is anyone NOT ready for babe?

Dd is sick with a bad cold and an ear infection w/fever. I have a cold as well and don't feel that great considering the fact that I'm not sleeping well, due to dd not sleeping well:. I haven't been able to keep up on housework all that well the past few days and the place doesn't feel birth ready. So, needless to say I'm praying that the baby waits another week or so!

Im hoping this little one waits for another 5 weeks, I still have my house to sort out and im not done being pregnant yet

This was me about a week ago. I still haven't caught up on housework, I'm not sure it's possible lol, but we're all finally well and I feel like baby can come anytime. It would be good for me to get a few errands run I've been putting off and stuff like that, so another few days would be nice.

yeah, dh is sick now and the weather here is terrible... i could stand to wait EXCECPT that i am having contant contractions that don't seem to be going anywhere, so i'm getting anxious.

Hopefully you'll both feel better soon. I swear this is how ds came out 12 days late, we were all SO sick with a cold right at his due date so he must have known to wait. Hopefully your little bundle will wait a bit longer to let you recover.

I could go either way. Sometimes I'm really ready and others, I hope she waits a couple more weeks. My son just got over strep throat and I'm getting over a bad cold so maybe a few more days, a week? I need to get the house cleaned again since it became a disaster while I was sick. At least I'm still caught up on laundry.

I go back and forth, too. On one hand, I am a preparation freak and have about a half dozen things left to get before little dude arrives. We just moved and I am not nearly as organized as I should be. On the other hand, all of this will be slow going because I have the PIH and am supposed to be laying on my side as much as possible. So part me thinks that I will never be as ready as I want to be, and I am anxious to meet him, so could he please arrive asap?
