mommas!
i had my baby yesterday! she is perfect, just perfect.
third labor third delivery....... the hardest one by far.
this was my first out of hospital birth and i really could not be happier about that part. my little one sees clearly, still has some vernex in the creases, no pokes no prods and we got to come home after only two hours in the birth center.
Lilly and i have pretty much been in bed since yesterday morning. she was born at , i think, 6 or so AM. still fuzzy on some of the details.... lol.
7 lbs 13 oz 20.5 inches long. her head was kind of ... sideways?.... thats what the midwife said .... and it really took a long time and alot of work to get her out. never before in either one of my previous births did i feel like my pushes were doing nothing. oh what a horrible feeling..... i was getting so tired and i pushed with all my might. i was moving all around and flipping over and under and trying everything my body could to get a good push in. i ended up on my back as per typical hospital protocol, but this time it was because it was the best position for me, not for anyone else. finally, once she was in my birth canal.... i felt how big she was, (not my biggest baby, BTW) and i said -i cannot push this baby out. no way!
but i did. as you know.
and i am just so pleased with myself and with my husband and with our new little girl. my other two girls slept through it .... my eleven year old woke up shortly afterward and oh....... such a beautiful meeting they had. 3 yr old woke to the sounds of her little sister crying and the look on her face as she crawled down off of the couch to see.....
absolutely wonderful.
anyway, i wanted to tell you all. i did it! and we are fine, better than fine.
thank you all,
