(preface: i am sorry for posting so much! dh is done work for six weeks and has taken over caring for the house and the kidlet, so i have WAY too much free time

we made it. we did it. my goals have been met (well, besides the homebirth, that's pending of course
) 37 weeks and babies who are definitely 6+ pounds. i'm huge and uncomfortable and quite frankly at this point i spend most of the day fighting back tears of pain and frustration at how much i'm limited by how big and tired and sore and cranky i am... but we made it to term and that is an amazing feeling. after being told about how preterm birth was a sure thing for me this time, i feel like walking into my ex-OB's office and blowing a raspberry at him 
now i can say, *without* guilt or fearing that i will come across as uncaring towards my babies for wishing them to be preterm... GET OUT HERE, BABIES! we're waiting not-so-patiently for you!
i'm 4cm, almost totally effaced, having on/off bouts of painful ctx for the past two days. my body is kicking into gear, and i don't think i have much longer, and when it does happen it's gonna happen FAST- but oh my gosh, what a glorious feeling to have gotten here! it almost makes me want to get to 38 weeks just to see how that feels. ...almost the idea of labor excites me and it's sick but i LOVE the contractions. the pain feels GOOD because every contraction gets me closer to my babies and having my poor ravaged body back, LOL!
the support here has been amazing. you all are awesome.
