i think i have everything... i am still jonesing for a babyhawk mei tai, but a friend sent me an old freehand mei tai and we fixed and padded the straps. so i'm all set with a mei tai, even though i still want a babyhawk!!

now all i want is some calm weather!!

i can't think of anything, other than this little guy waiting til his nan arrives next week before making an appearance. i've had loads of contractions and back pain and cramping and general discomfort but i'd prefer if he's stay in there a bit longer!

I think we're basically ready here...house is clean, all the baby "stuff" is ready....I can't wait! Hey, honeybee, I did see some babyhawks floating around on the TP just a few minutes ago.

we could use another sling (we have a mei tai and a pouch, but one more pouch would be good for newborns) and i really want a cute diaper bag. other than that i think we have bought every stupid baby gadget and doodad on the market in an attempt to lure these two out

the only thing we still need is our toddlers car seat. then we'll have the roundabout free for baby.

I want more sweet newborn clothes!! But I have lots of them already, and now I'm just waiting to see if it really is a girl before I spend more money on girly stuff... that's really about it. I've got pretty much everything we need for now... just need my body to get in gear a little more... either that or surprise me!!

I want my friend to give me back the 3-6m clothes I loaned her a year ago:

I also want an Ergo

More girl clothes.... but it can wait for now....

I don't have a sling yet... I still haven't figured out which one(s) I want! I don't have a changing pad, boppy, stroller (I guess I don't need that quite yet), or monitors... I'm starting to wish I'd had a baby shower!

And I just moved, so all my baby things are in a closet... I suppose I should get some of them out now, huh?

Well... considering I had to get everything at the last minute due to my baby shower being cancelled I was able to get most of what I needed. I got the last of the things today actually- a car seat, carrier and baby bath. Most of the things I found on Craigslist. I am picking up my crib tomorrow (which my mom bought for me) and hopefully it will be set up by Tuesday.

The only thing I need is a stroller but I think I will hold off on that until me and hubby move out in April and just stick to using the carrier and baby seat to carry baby around. Besides, it is COLD as heck here in NYC and I have no intention of leaving the house much except for the doctor's checkups and stuff like that.

So I am happy right now and finally feel ready to have baby. I am now almost two days overdue but I have a feeling it will happen at the end of the week. Guess we'll see.....

I want my new oven. Our 25+ year old one went out last week. Well I think "went out" is putting it mildly. Flames shot out the burner up to 4 feet and caught my laundy pile on fire. Thankfully I was right there so nothing got out of control, it culd have been worse. We bought the new one at Best Buy and they were supposed to deliver it Sunday ( i thought is sounded unusual that they deliver on Sunday, but that is what they said) Anyhow they called Saturday and said it would be the following Saturday (Feb. 10) before they could deliver it. I went into the whole "I'm about to have a baby and I have no stove....." Now they have agreed to deliver it this Tuesday and they are sending me a $50 gift card to Best Buy. So, I guess, I just want my new stove before baby comes.

reducereuserecyle - I've had similar problems with Best Buy. I work in a professional kitchen and we would sometimes order appliances through them. They never delivered stuff on time. So frustrating.

I'm almost done collecting all of my baby items. I still need a diaper bag, boppy cover, baby toiletries (was thinking about going with burt's bees), and capsules to put dried placenta in. We also don't have a crib, but I'm not sure how much we are going to really use it. We have adorable bedding for it, though, so I would still like to get one. I recently painted some of the furniture in the kids' room and wanted to paint the crib to match. Probably won't happen if I don't locate a crib before little dude comes. Is it insane to want a crib just because it would look cute?

I don't really need to buy anything else before the baby comes. We are definitely set there. The baby doesn't really have any clothes beyond simple layette stuff, but I don't know the gender either, and he/she won't really need any outfits for a while anyway.

I would also like an Ergo/Yamo type carrier but that can also wait a while. I have a Maya which I like for Newborn stage and an Ellaroo Mei Tai, so it definitely isn't a must have.

I also finished my taxes yesterday and e-filed so those are done which is great since I really wanted them done before I delivered. I didn't realize that college tuition was deductible and my son and I both had tuition this past year and my son also qualified for a Hope Credit so we are getting back a very nice refund. YEAH!!!

As for Best Buy, I would NEVER buy an appliance from there again. I bought a dishwasher there about 5 years ago and it was a complete disaster from start to finish. Delivered a week late, then installed incorrectly so the motor blew up then they refused to replace it, etc... Finally had to have a lawyer send them a letter and they agreed to replace it, but I certainly wouldn't want to be dealing with them at 9 months pregnant!

Found an Ergo on the TP last night for $80 , now I'm done!

Oh, I wish I'd known this about Best Buy before now. They were supposed to call and tell us our delivery time for tomorrow and they didn't call. Before I realized it they were closed so I'll have to call tomorrow. I have had it with them.

I actually have quite a few but it is just because they are my favorite! You certainly don't *need* that many!
