OK guys I need some help. My youngest ds is covered in this horrible rash (presumibly from cleaning products/soaps) I need to know about laundry soaps, body soaps, bum creams, body creams/lotion, cleaning supplies, and the such that I can use that will clear up his skin. His back is covered in exema. His diaper area (up past his belly button and down his legs and such) are covered in this horrible red rash. Please help us! I have had him allergy tested (food only) and eliminated these things from my diet. He is EBF, and cloth diapered. TIA

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

We currently use All Free & Clear to wash dipes, I do see lots of reccomends for charlies soap esp. for sensitive skin & we are considering switching to that after a detergent reaction we had ourselves. I use 1 c. vinegar in rinses & an extra wash. When we had the reaction (to a different detergent) I washed everything 'normal' and then did an second wash without adding detergent or anything.
With bad rashes I have found the best thing to be to give a bath with baking soda in it (no soaps) in the am (after sleeping in wet diaper - it seems to help us best then). I'll even just do a buttbath sometimes after a real messy diaper. Use lotion real well after that, and I wait until the next change to put anything on her bum for any redness. For certain dryness, the California Baby moisture cream was a really nice lotion we liked. For everyday we use fragrance-free aveeno. Recently though, I picked up Badger Baby Balm (which is a pretty simple olive-oil based balm) and this is working really super on the diaper area dryness we seem to have a lot of and I really reccomend it.
Look around here for other ideas - I've gotten a lot of good info.
