I completely agree. I have 4-month old twins. I'm asked all the time whether we will have more kids. We would prefer not to have more, and it was a walk-on-water, zapped-by-lightening-five-times, part-the-seas miracle that I got pregnant even once. So my answer is to this is "no". Several times I've then had a clueless questioner say, "Ohh, but then your twins will be only children!" and make a sad face at me while I try not to make a laughing face at them. "Hello, Clueless Person! They are twins - they can't be only children!"

People are funny, and life is weird. That's what keeps things interesting. But I do try to ignore the more irritating stuff.

We have two kids and we love them both so very much. I am glad we had two for many reasons. However two kids makes things so much more complicated and it's really intense and I think back to when we just had one. There are certain benefits to having one . . . and there are other benefits to having more than one. I wish there were two of me to go around so they each had me fully when they needed me. Because sometimes there were moments when they did, but they had to wait because the other needed me more. I can see why some people would want to have just one child, and I can see why people would want to have a whole houseful, too.
