What to use for a good foot cream?

I have rough X5 skin on the bottoms of my feet (ugh) & yesterday I used a gritty/bumpy callous reducer then applied my Burt's Bees "Peppermint" foot lotion which didn't cut it. I need something stronger that will soak in (I have some small cracks on my heals too), any good recommendations?

I have been using almond oil on my legs & arms. It goes on oily, but totally soaks in. My heels & elbows feel so much better. It feels like it stays moisturized even after washing since it soaks in so well. When I have time I apply it before bed & sleep in socks.

I started using Vicks on my feet a couple of years ago and my winter foot issues are pretty much gone. I used to get cracks on my feet that were really painful. Now, I use a pumice stone on a regular basis and slather my feet in Vicks and my feet are in pretty good shape. A lot of dry skin and cracking problems on feet are caused by a fungus. Vicks has natural anti-fungal properties, so it keeps it at bay, plus it moisterizes too.

My husband gives me a foot rub every night with unrefined shea butter. My feet are super soft and not at all scaly or dry, unlike the rest of my body.

In the past, we've also used apricot kernel oil and sesame oil, but the shea butter seems to have longer lasting effects, even if I take my nightly shower *after* my foot rub.

I've had good luck with an oily sugar scrub in the shower followed by either coconut oil or Lact-Hydrin 5 (not so natural, but does work on thickened skin). Keep socks on to keep your floors from getting greased.
