Carseats and traveling to Canada

So a friend of ours is getting married sometime this year in Vancouver. We don't have a date yet for the wedding, just that we need to have our passports ready by September 1. Anyways, we'll have two kids with us, our baby due later this month and our dd who will be almost 3, or 3, depending on when they actually marry. Dd will be in a Britax Regent and baby will be in a Roundabout.

So my questions is can I use our seats up in Canada? For the plane trip I'd like dd to be in her carseat, so she's not as likely to get out of her seat unless she really needs to. Baby will have a lap seat (there is no way we can afford a seat for the baby.)

If I can't use our seats, what am I to do?

Thanks!

Britax seats are sold here in Canada, so there shouldn't be a problem using them up here at all!

Yes, you can.

Now, if you were moving to Canada, that would be different, but foreign visitors can use their car seats. The Regent is not airline approved, though, so that wouldn't work. It would have to be checked.

If you decide the regent is too heavy to carry through the airport there are a couple places that rent baby gear. The car seats seem to be better than those rented by car rental places

Bummer about the Regent not being airline approved! Dd is too tall for the Roundabout now, so I guess we'll just let her sit in a seat and either check the Regent or rent one when we get there.

Thanks for the info guys!
