Please help... herpes outbreak

I am due in 8 days and I just got an outbreak. I met with my MW today and she gave me some tips, lots of vit. C, fresh air, and NO stress. I take liquid stabilized oxygen and it has helped wonders. My outbreak is very small and on the outside, so I should still be able to have a home birth. The MW also said that IF the baby comes in the next week we can use new skin/ liquid skin. Has anyone used this before? Does anyone have any other ideas? I have not had any contractions but I have never made it to my EDD before. I know that it will be gone in 4-6 days but I am so worried.

If anyone has any ideas PLEASE help...

I have no experience with it but it's so hard to have this kind of stress at the end... hope it all works out OK for you...

I'm assuming this is not your primary outbreak? The biggest danger to your baby is being born during the first outbreak, before your body has made a lot of antibodies against the virus. Subsequent outbreaks are usually milder, and your baby has already been provided antibodies against your specific strain of HSV and therefore will be at least partially immune to your HSV. If the outbreak is still present during labor, just cover it and don't worry about it. And don't stress! It'll make it worse!
