Congratulations!!! Des she have a name yet?

Those fast labors are the worst. My 2nd was born in 90 minutes and it was pure H*LL, I can't even imagine how horrible a 40 minute labor would be.

I hope you are recovering well and have a wonderful babymoon!

no name yet... we think the middle name will be brigid.... it was really weird (still is) you spend 40 weeks (well like 34 or so) thinking about how the birth is going to be and for me it was over so fast it was almost like it didn't even happen, except i have this baby here now. it's really strange.

it wasn't horrible, but it was really intense and a little scary too. but i stayed pretty grounded and clear, which was good cause i could only manage a few words to dh to tell him what was going on.

he wasn't scared he said, cause i made him read emergency childbirth and we were talking about the mw not making it becuase of the bad weather since last week. he said "it was the perfect birth honey, that's how it should be. we both know childbirth goes best with no interventions." WOW my dh a closet UC-er! who knew!!

Well if out of everyone on this DDC I think that you were certainly the one to be most prepared for one even if you hadn't planned it! Congrats on your sweet girl!
