You CAN do this and you ARE! I know it's hard when you're so tired (I had a 50 hour induction with very little sleep, just a few hours that whole time) but I know you can do this... you are strong, mama! You are stronger than you realize! Resting, even if you're not sleeping, is helpful... and remember, your baby is putting on the "finishing touches" and getting REALLY ready, and getting herself and your body in the optimum place to give birth. It won't be long now!!

I got a little rest after my last post, got up to go to the bathroom and had a ton of bloody mucus and have had bloody show since. So there are definitely changes happening, though not nearly as fast as I'd like. At least I'm not drop dead tired, though I'm going on 2 days of half as much sleep as I normally like. Hopefully today.

I bet you're really close. Bloody show is a definite sign that something is happening. Hang in there! You'll be holding your little one soon, if you aren't already.

I woke up this morning with contractions every 3-4 minutes (had never felt any contractions before), and it's continued through the day. It's kind of annoying, as DH is at work and DS is being super whiny. I could have handled a few more days of uneventful pregnancy... And no, the contractions didn't change when it became daylight. They've been here all day and I can't even nap! I want to get into the tub.

I'm still pregnant. Sigh. Still no change. I managed a little nap a while ago but I'm just really discouraged and I wish it would either go away or do something more. This is driving me crazy!

It can't be long now... with the bloody show and all... but I know how hard it is when things don't seem to be happening. Are you able to do anything distracting or are they so strong, that you have to stop what you are doing? I'm glad we've got our DDC so you can come vent to all of us!!

have you tried jumping up and down?:

seriously, though, hang in there. it can't be long now.

DID,
Is your DH home today? I know we have only met once but if you need some help (with you, food, kids), want to go on a walk, please let me know. I will be there. I'm in Vancouver so I'm not far. Feel free to pm me.

Oh Allison you are SO sweet. Jim is home and caring for my every need and doting on me constantly. But I may PM you after he goes back to work at the end of his paternity leave.
No news, just still hanging in here and trying not to have hysterics. Which is harder than I thought!

Okay hoping this is really it. I've been having *really* painful contractions the last 2 hours. They are getting very intense. Started at every 15 minutes, now about every 8 minutes. I'll keep you guys posted, of course.

I hope things are under there way and you are either holding your new little one or you will be very soon! Good luck.
