Hey y'all. This will probably get moved, but I'm wonderinh if anyone has any advice.
I had an episiotomy with baby #1 and baby #2 had a cord around her neck twice that made her descent and birth SLOW. She crowned for a long, long time. Anyway- I am fairly sure I have a mild rectal prolapse now. My sx are fairly mild, but I'm going to the doc about it later this month. I've been bad about kegels, so not so pro-active about fixing the problem, but here's my question...
I am thinking about having one last kid.... Has anyone had another child after a mld prolapse? Did it get worse? Did you have a c-section or vaginal delivery? What did your doc or midwife recommend?
I'm not totally against the idea of having a planned c-section. My first was born sunny side up and the second had a double nucal chord- both were very slow to descend, both long, sucky labors, and frankly, I have no romantic attachment to vaginal delivery at this point.
But does the pregnancy itself impact prolapse?
How much do Kegels really help? I'd be more motivatred if I heard firsthand that they made a difference.
Thanks for the input!
