Before reading this book, I honestly did not realize I was and am a spirited person! I know it sounds silly, but never knew. I thought that I was just weird, oversensitive, antisocial, etc. Wow! I actually cried after reading some chapters b/c I realized that I'm not a freak. I'm just spirited!!

i know exactly what you mean. when i took the quiz for myself, it helped me to understand myself better. it also helped me recognize the traits that my ds and i share. now i have a new appreciation for myself and my ds. i also teared up at certain parts of the book. it's nice to be validated. it's a great book for all parents.

I thought that when I purchased the book a few years ago that I would be able to show my husband why our middle child is so spirited. Little did I know that I would NOT see my DH but myself magnified!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO wonder my middle ds and I clash so much...we are soooo alike! I really have liked that book adn also the Five Love languages! That is a must read by Gary Chapman.

Dh & I were both shocked at how much we learned about ourselves reading that book! It actually improved our relationship because some of the things we got upset at each other about had everything to do with our personality traits. Once we could see ourselves so clearly in the book, we were both able to deal with some situations easier and avoid unneccesary clashes.

Yes, dh and I are definatly "spirited". We got the child we deserved. LOL. Well, I don't know if we really deserve such a wonderful child, but the challenging part....makes our parents laugh.

I agree, I learned a lot about myself from this book! I was shocked to discover that I am spirited too. It really helped me understand some of the traits ds (and I!) have. This is a great book!
