Planning for hospital birth with an ob/gyn who I adore. He has a wicked sense of humour and is very open to my need to chatter and ask questions. Although the BF is very interested in water birth so we may look into that if the dr is amiable (I have to have a Dr. around for various reasons).
Finding out gender? Definetly, I am a fanatic planner and preparer. If I didn't know it would make me crazy not being able to get everything ready ahead of time.

I had a miscarriage in Oct 04 and since then have had a wonderful son in July 05.
I hope to go into labour on my own rather than being induced due to pre-eclampsia.

Plans: unmedicated hospital birth, unsure if we're going with our family doctor or a midwife yet.

Plans: Home birth with midwife. Parallel care with OB since midwifery is illegal here, so transfer to hospital can be awkward.

Plans: Hospital birth. Would like to try a VBAC, however I have high blood pressure and if a VBAC isn't safe for me then a scheduled C/S will be done. More than likely we will try to find out the gender.

Gender: No way! We aren't big on gender roles and gendered clothes and colors and we want to be surprised.

Other kids: None. I lost two pregnancies last year.
Plans: Probably a scheduled c-section due to uterine anomaly which will cause breech and other issues. I could try it naturally, and will if the baby turns, but after the two losses, I just want a healthy baby and will do anything to ensure a good outcome.
