Really odd question.. Birth Control Pills & PPD?

This is just a thought I had.. and believe me I don't know if there is a connection.. but does anyone think that BCP use may have contributed (later) to PPD?

in a thread about autism hich is in the Vax forum one poster brought up the BirthControlPill and a potential link to maybe autism in children/addhd/ASD.. etc.. anyone interested can find that thread over in vax..

but it got me wondering... if the same reaction that takes place where prolonged BCP useage which rips out the good stuff out the women who will later become a mom... if that gets in the mix for PPD?

do you know what I mean?

I think there is some sort of relationship between depression and monthly hormone fluctuation. I have heard that some people experience more depression while on BCP, but I was less depressed while I was taking BCP.

I don't think the BCP "cause" later PPD.
