Woohoo! She discovered her bladder!

So, from day 1, DD has been a pee machine. Seriously, I was washing dipes every day and a half and we had 36. At night it has been between 3 and 5 diaper changes. She is now 5 months (one of the younger ones here as she missed her end of August due date) and over the last several days, she seems to have discovered her bladder muscles! ONE diaper change last night, WOOHOO! And several hours between daytime diaper changes. Of course now her pees are bigger, but that's not a problem.

Hopefully this continues. I love less laundry and being able to make it through and entire mom & baby dance class without having to change her.

3 to 5 diaper changes?!?! WOW. That's incredible. I am so glad to hear it's down to one!

This is probably a stupid question, but are you using a heavy duty night time dipe?

Well her nightime dipes aren't super saturated, they have plenty of room left for more pee. It's just that I change her every time she pees and she is a babe who cannot stand to be wet, even in the slightest. Even a slight dampness at night will cause her to fidget in a dozy sleep (and thus keep me awake) until she is changed and dry. A stay dry liner would likely resolve that issue, but I like to have all natural fibres against her tushie and the thought of having her sleep in pee (even if she's dry on top) just rubs me the wrong way!
