thinking of testing need advice

Okay ladies, I've been doing pretty good as far as being calm about things. I'm 9DPO and my chart is looking triphasic ... www.fertilityfriend.com/home/eastkygal

I'm thinking of testing on Monday if AF doesn't show by then. I'll be 12DPO then. I've been exhausted and really hungry, but other than that no symptoms. I can't wait until 18DPO like FF suggests. I won't be dissappointed if I don't get a + that early, I'll just try again later. What do you all think?

: ttcintexas

moderngal Hope your time is short here.

sarah - Will you please add DD's birthdate back to the end of my name under 2ww. 8-4-05

Moderngal- I went ahead and added you to the 2WW would you like me to add your dc's bd?

Amandamarie- : for Valentines Day! You are VERY patient to wait so long! I changed dd to her birthdate so no worries on updating age, thanks!

Yoga-changes done, would you rather have their birth month/year or remind threadkeeper to update age? either way, i updated their ages so it's good for a while either way.

ChiaraRose- congrats on DS's birthday! Happy BIRTHday to YOU!!

Zac-:!!

Thanks everyone.

Aimee--It was the second month.

Eastkygal--I'd test. I did on what I think (only monitoring CM) was DPO11 or 12 and got my BFP. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

how do I chart can I use a digital thermometer??

how do I chart can I use a digital thermometer??

scratch that first question I found the answer by clicking on one one your ladies charts.

So my next question is hiow long did it take your periods to come back to normal while bfing? I used to have 28-30 cycles before DD ........ my first periiod cycle was 40 days long and I just started my second cycle, DD is 9.5 months ands bfs ALL NIGHT but maybe only 1 time during the day........ I soooooo want babies close in age but I do not want to give up bfing either do I have any hope?

ohiomommy, I would recommend using fertilityfriend.com. A lot of us here, myself included, do. You get all the bells and whistles free for a month and then you can either pay to keep them , or do the more basic charting which is all I do.

Also, just my oppinion but you should probably invest in a Basal Body Temp thermometer. They are only about $10 but read more detailed temps. For instance if you get 97.5 on your reg thermometer, the BBT would go down another tenth to like 97.58. Some people only have small temp shifts so every bit of info helps and makes it easier to tell when you ovulate.

good luck!

Oh, one last thing, try to take your temp around the same time daily, while resting. Ideal is first thing in the morning (or after a good chunk of sleep) before moving around and getting out of bed...

ohiomommy-you can use a digital thermometer but it is more accurate to use a digital BBT thermometer because it is more sensitive and will read out to the hundreth place rather than the tenth of a regular thermometer. Go to fertilityfriend.com and create a free account and it will give you all the info you need on charting. It is a wealth of information and an easy place to keep track of everything. Let us know if you have any other questions. Good luck!

I tried for 3 mo for #1 and 5 for #2 looking ar cervical mucus, timeing cylcles and watching lunar phases I seem to O on full moons, both my babes were concieved during full moons!! I am currently bfing and just starting my period last month so far my cycles are 40 days and it didnt look like I o'ed at all last month so we will wait and see what this month brings.

My periods returned at 7 mos. pp. My daughter is now almost 16 months and my cycles are still not normal. I have a very short LP, late ovulation, etc. Sorry if this doesn't give you any hope but I want you to know that it can take quite a while for things to go back to normal, even after your period returns. Especially if you are night nursing (I am.)

My husband and I decided not to make any decisions about changing my DD's nursing habits until she is 18 months old. I originally wanted my children 2 years apart, and now the time for that to happen has come and gone. Of course there is hope for you to have your babies close in age, but my best advice is to have a "wait and see" approach and trust your body. For me, it meant changing my expectations and being much more patient than I am used to being. It's a journey, and we will all get to our destination, but not necessarily according to our original plans!

Good luck

thanks for the help, everyone.

My ds is 20 months and he WAS not nursing much at all during the day but still no AF. Right now he has been sick and now he is nursing ALL THE TIME!!!
I was so tired this morning that I fell asleep with the thermometer in my mouth. So I was late with my temp which I took when I woke up an hour later. I don't really think it matters much since my temps are all over the place anyway. I read that means you are probably not ovulating. No surprise here.
Good luck Ohiomommy! I hope that your cycles regulate. You might look into taking Vitex. It is supposed to help regulate your hormones to smooth out your cycles.

OK I'm back from my trip to mexico and we are now officially ttc. I haven't had hide nor hair of a cycle so we will just wait and see what happens and I will test a few times a month. I am trying not to get to worked up about it. I conceived 4 times (2 m/c) basically as soon as I started trying. So I am pretty confidant I will conceive as soon as my cycle resumes. DH still nurses 12 a dozen times a day though. I wouldn't mind having them close together but a few more months wouldn't bother me either. SO i guess I can be moved to waiting for the first eggy!
