some June butter in my freezer that I put back there almost two years ago. Is it still OK?

I also have some 1 1/2 yr old beef bones, tarrow, meat, etc...how long is it OK in the freezer?

One more thing, I have some old(ish) high vitamin butter from green pastures...how long does that stay good for?

Thanks!

No colostrum recipes, sorry!

I'd use it, but then I'm pretty cheap. I hate throwing out stuff without good reason. I think as long as it's been in a deep freeze, at or below zero, hasn't had any thawing, doesn't have ice crystals, etc., it's probably fine. I'm sure, at some point, it does start to lose some nutritional value, but it's hard to say at what point, and how much it's lost.

JMHO.

i just used some two year old bones that had been in my freezer. the broth tasted fine, and no one got sick
i am wondering about the high vit butter oil too, i have some that has been in my fridge for a very long time. i get myself mad... i try to conserve it since it is expensive, then end up forgetting about it! what a waste!

stuff from the freezer is probably fine, i am guessing.

There's recipes for colostrum on the WAP website. Personally, i would just thaw it and add it to raw milk.

For everything else, it's most likely fine. Thaw it and give it the sniff test. The meat would definitely be ok if it is vacuum sealed and the freezer hasn't had any problems, like being unplugged for a few days.
