Anybody want to share the health benefits you personally have experienced from drinking kombucha? Please include how much tea you were drinking daily and about how long it took to start noticing a positive impact on your health.

My mother saw an improvement in her arthritis in 3 days of drinking about 5 oz per day. The swelling in her thumb joints went down visibly.
It convinced her to try other NT type things I was pushing her towards. She has since seen about a 95 % improvement in her chronic fatigue/high blood pressure/depression since switching to raw milk and a semi NT diet.

Is there seriously only ONE person on this forum who has experienced any positive results with kombucha?

I haven't personally noticed much difference...:
I drink about 6-8oz a day.

I've definitely had some detox symptoms from it, so I know it is doing something...I didn't really have anything I was looking to fix when I started it, though, other than overall health support.

I've had a nasty fungal infection in a couple of my toenails for YEARS. After I started drinking the Kombucha (about 4 oz a day) I noticed that they are starting to grow in healthy.

The occasional breakouts I get on my face don't occur either, when I'm drinking it consistently.

I also don't have as severe IBS symptoms as I used to.

None of that is scientifically proven though, and I've also cleaned up my diet ALOT along with the Kombucha, so who knows exactly what or what combination of things has helped. I do love my 'bucha though!

Oh! I didn't see this reply before. How exciting!! DH has had a fungal infection on the soles of his feet for years. Actually we only recently learned it's fungal in origin (his naturopathic doctor ID'd it as such). Previously we thought he just had very stinky feet and horribly dry, peeling skin on his soles. Anyway, your story gives me hope that it might go away. We've been drinking kombucha for maybe 3 weeks now? And nothing has happened yet, but these things take time.

Well actually - how long did you drink kombucha before you noticed improvement with your various symptoms?

I'm looking for testimonials as well. It's so common to hear of someones long lost neighbor having benefits...But, with so many kombucha mamas it seems like there should be more folks with 1st person stories...Anyone?

Now I have a testimonial to share! DH has spent the last month working a new job in an enclosed office environment. Lots of people at his workplace are coming down sick with the latest bugs going around, even his office partner. But even though DH is dead dog tired from too many short nights recently, his immune system is still going strong. We think kombucha has played a part in making him the healthiest guy in his office.

Is it ok to drink it while nursing? I've seen it at the store and have been intrigued, but I tend to stay away from anything I'm not accustomed to consuming because I'm still breastfeeding.

Most people say yes. I'm nursing my 15mo. When I first started, I also took bentonite clay on a daily basis to help soak up any toxins that might be floating around in my system. But do what seems best to you. I felt that the nutritional and digestive benefits outweighed any concerns about the detox effect. I give it to my DS in his sippy cup, too. He loves it
