My niece needs prayers (WARNING: involves a very sick infant!)

My niece Kiera was born August 12, 2006, 12 wks early, and weighing in at 1lb 8oz. She has never been able to breath on her own and finally recieved a trachetomy (sp?) on January 26. We were hoping that she would be home within 3wks of that (which would be the 16th.)

We got a call today from MIL (a message left on the machine.) Kiera is really sick. She started having heart problems. Combined with her lung issues, she's not doing so well. If you could all keep her in your thoughts and prayers, that would be very much appreciated.

I'm in tears as I type this. My poor SIL has been through so much with her little girl and I worry that my having my baby will make things worse. I can't control it and I know that, but it scares me none the less.

lots of prayers for you and your family. i know how hard this can be. my SIL had my niece at 23 weeks. this after 3 years of ttc and finally needing insemination several times to conceive. i felt so guilty being able to get pg in a relatively short amount of time and then to go on to have a healthy babe. i actually cried when i told her i was pg because at the time they were still struggling with ttc. mama. i know this isn't easy for your SIL or you.
