starting to lose my patience with dh and the name game...

well, we have half a name. but dh is really really resisting picking a middle name. he was mumbling about syllabuls last night.

every time i ask him he says "i have been doing too much housework to think about names." i am starting to feel like he's punishing me for asking him to do diapers and dishes

i don't know what to do. we should have the MW do the BC tomorrow when we see her. but i'm afraid to bring it up again. after 4.5 years he tells me the other night he wouldn't have choosen ds' name if it had been up to him. : i don't know what to think anymore, i thought we had agreed together on his name.

I totally understand! The exact same thing is happening to me and dh! Meridian is 1 1/2 weeks old and he avoids the conversation when I bring it up. I am at the point where I am just going with what I like and he will just have to deal with it. He has said that the boys names were all my choice when every time I have asked what he thinks about each name and he says, "No, no, no, that one is okay" and I have gone with the okay! What else can I do? It is so frustrating! :

you can do what chris and I did... I wanted Preston Matthew, I still LOVE this name so very much.. Chris loved Lucas james ( I pulled this name out of thin air, and he just loved this one from the second it came out of my mouth).. I think Cooter would have pacified him over preston, if I said that name.. Anyway the day of my section we were still unsure of the name.

Some of the OR staff asked if we had a name picked out, and I told them.. They would choose my sons name. We gave them the names we had, and for some reason Lucas James won by a landside ( they said it was a strong powerful name ). So, this is how we chose his name.. Pick out a few middle names, and let your mid wife call it

I know how frustrating it can be, we bickered about this up until the day Luke was born.. Good Luck sweetie!!!

It will work out I am sure. We didn't select our name for a boy until I was in labor & we talked about it for hours, since we had the time !! oes he want to have someone in his family honored??? Maybe he doesn't know how to bring that up??? If he doesn't mention it before the mw comes tomorrow, then I would say that you get the final say.

Let us know what you all decide.
