Doll's head idea!

I have just started making my first soft doll and had a revelation. Now stop me if you've heard this one but I was looking for something for the underlayer, the one you shape and needed something like a long tube:
Ds's sock was perfect! and less sewing because it already makes the perfect head shape, just gather at the neck!
Hope this might help anyone else making a waldorf doll

What's a waldorf doll?

I have a few dolls that a friend made for me out of socks. One was a teddy bear made out of a brown terry sock and the other is a girl with a pink hat fashioned out of an athletic type sock with pinktoe part. They are skinny and long especially in the arms and legs. Very cute.

It's just a soft doll, there are instructions on how to make one as a sticky in this area. You know I forgot all about the dolls/monkeys I had as a child made out of socks, thanks for reminding me!

GREAT idea!!! i have always had a bit of trouble getting the head just right so as not to make a big bunch of fabric.... this will be perfecT! thanks for the tip!
