HOW TO get old stains off baby clothes?

Well, I should have soaked or put stain remover on them immediately, but I didn't.
Anyone knows a miracle product, that will target old fruit stains?
Thanks

i would try white vinegar. i had good results using that. i poured it right on the stain and saturated it and then washed it. you could also use the vinegar and then leave it out in the sun. that should bleach the bejeezus out of anything!

Have you tried soaking in hot water and oxyclean? Soak overnight, and then wash as usual. This works for 90% of my stained clothes. Sometimes I have to do this a couple of times, but it almost always works.

i second the oxy-clean.... i've made a paste of it and put it on dampend baby clothes and it's been a miracle! i've gotten really nasty soy stains out of dd's baby clothes that i thought i'd never be able to give away, they were stained so bad. good luck

Two things:
We get vicious stains around here with three semi-messy kids and little time to pretreat.

First - try Zout. I spray and let it soak for a couple hours. Then, wash on hot.

If that doesn't work, fill up your bathroom sink with the hottest water you can. Add two to three scoops of oxyclean and let the garment soak overnight (at least). I soaked one of DD's dresses for two days, checking on it periodically, until the stain was out. It worked GREAT - and I had tried washing it four or five times with pretreaters and with Oxyclean in the wash with no luck.

I use an adaptation of the stain remover recipe from the Tightwad Gazette:

1 part Cascade dishwasher detergent (automatic...the powdered) to 1 part Clorox 2 color safe bleach. Dissolve in VERY hot water, add clothes & soak overnight. I only put like colors together, and wouldn't advise doing this to, say, a white t-shirt with red sleeves...might bleed. It's harsh, but it does rescue clothes that were unwearable. I have a small box in the laundry room where stubbournly stained clothes are collected until I have enough to merit a wash. After the 'stain wash', I'd do an extra rinse or two.

I used to use Tide w/ Bleach which removed I'd think about 99% percent of old set stains from clothes I have bought at yard sales.

Now I use oxygen bleach and an overnight soak or extra long wash cycle and still have about a 99% sucess rate.

Tide w/ Bleach has oxygen bleach in it.

yes, oxyclean, but you have to make sure the water is really really hot for it to work best. And if you do it in the washing machine, close the lid, the water stays hotter longer let it soak for at least 8 hours. I never got good results, however, just adding it to my regular wash load, so I save it for soaking only. And it works great on those funny twisted straws and sippy cup lids that are so hard to clean, as well as in steam cleaners for the carpet

i make a paste of oxyclean (dissolved in hot hot hot water) and Zout! cleaner. spread over stains with a spoon or clean sponge brush - let sit for 20-30 min, wash in hot cycle. Stains go bye-bye! Only thing i haven't gotten out is grease and some mysterious substance my 5 y/o came home with on her clothes from playdate.
