Ok March Mamas.... - Page 2

I'm 34 weeks today, but I have the strongest feeling that I only have 4 more weeks. The baby keeps sinking a bit lower in my pelvis each week and pants are becoming just plain painful to keep on longer than an hour or so. My pelvis is becoming so darn achey, and I just cannot get up to chase the kiddos anymore.

And a sweet little newborn in my arms sounds soooo heavenly! Sigh!

I absolutely do not want the baby to come until at least the week before the due date because I want to make sure my DH is with me! I'm lovin' being pregnant, but excited to meet our little one soon, too. We have so much uncertainty ahead of us (DH, baby, and me), that my nerves get a little frazzled if I think about it too much!

Just bought my diaper bag today...never thought I'd get so excited about something so mundane before! Guess it just makes it all the more real, with each new purchase!

It looks like our week markers are in the same place! When is your #1 due? Mine's due on the 30th.

I am READY. I have no idea how I will handle 3 kids, but it's too late for that now!

- I actually have my bag packed (didn't do it with my last 2 until leaving for the hospital).
- DH isn't sick. (He has had various ailments for awhile now!)
-The snow has finally stopped falling.
- My mom is getting her stiches out today so she can help with the other DC. (She isn't allowed to carry DD until the stitches come out.)
- I have my cord blood donation kit all ready, paperwork filled out.
- The carseat is installed.
- Diapers and clothes are washed.

I will be 38 weeks tomorrow. I have never been to a 39th week appointment in the past, so I am hoping it will be SOON-- today would be great since I'd love to have a Valentine's Day baby.

But, nothing. A little cramping here and there, BH cx every night, but nothing else. At this point in my pregnancies I always feel like it will never happen (which is why I think I never normally pack my bag) and I feel the same way now. When I talk to my mom about coming to help, I feel fake, like "YEAH, sure I'll go into labor!" My MW keeps "joking" that maybe this time I'll go to 42 weeks. Not funny!:

So, ho hum.

That's pretty much where I am.

DH is, though. He keeps telling me he "can't wait to meet [the baby]." I don't know why I'm so reluctant about it, esp. knowing he'll be here sooner rather than later (thanks to pre-e). I think it's still a little abstract to me, and a little scary at times, to know there will be a little person living here soon
Or maybe that.

We bought some Robeez the other day (totally frivolous pointless purchase, but they were on sale, and they're CUTE, dangit!), and it really is amazing how each little thing makes it more real. I think I understand why some people go all out on the nursery purchases.

UGH!!! THE PANTS!!

lol I don't even go OUT anymore because I have a pants predicament... the pants that are comfy are SOOOO sloppy--- like yoga pants and the like, and the pants that I can still wear, well, I don't have any shirts that are still long enough to cover the panels! They just look plain silly.

So I have about 2 outfits that I try to keep cycled thru the wash in case I do want to go somewhere, but then... THE SHOES!!!

OH MY!

I have two dresses I rotate, and two pants, which are a little tight now, if I keep gaining weight like I been this couple of weeks they won't fit and only the two dresses will have to do.
I went to K-mart and bought the dress on impulse, I was wearing my boyfriend's clothes and just felt so blah, and the dress was onsale. my bf teases me I look like a tourist, but I'm confortable so I don't care!

Island Mama, with my last pregancy i was actually going around in sarongs and teased my dh that I was going to get a muumuu It was nice to be warm. I can't get away with it here. In some ways much easy being pregnant some place where you don't have to wear much clothes. Though of course I also have horrible swelling from I am guessing being too hot. And just wearing slippers. Okay, missing the island...
I know I am getting bigger because the pants I got at the beginning that were big on me now fit well. I am glad I got bigger pants, but knowing how I used to fit in them and how I fit in them now, well, trying to remember that that is just the way it goes towards the end.

My feet got a size larger with my last pregnancy, I wonder if they will stay big after this one too? That would make me a size 10W, lol. I usually only wear sandals or flip flops (I love living in Arizona!), but even those are getting too tight on my swollen feet! I'm gonna have to start going out barefoot pretty soon, and I don't care who notices!

A friend was telling me that both of her kids came 6 weeks early- healthy and well done. She was laughing that by week 34 she had her kids. I must've turned white with terror. I'm totally still slacking! I'm ready to meet the baby and be done with this pregnancy but I have nothing prepared, essentially. How scary to think that we could go into labor any time? The notion that my baby is basically full term is surreal to me.
