Where do you Canadians buy your CLO?

When I lived in Ontario, I ordered from Green Pastures. We had a mailbox in a US border town an hour and a half away and I had it shipped there. Many Canadians were having things shipped to the UPS depot in the same town where one didn't need to have a box.

Since, you have to take a ferry to get to the US; it might be cheaper and easier to just order it sent to Canada and pay any customs/duties. I would phone the order in and ask to have it shipped by USPS (United States Postal Service). UPS has their own brokerage company and will collect duty/tax even when it is not required and their collection fees are usually substantially more than the duty/tax they collect.

I just buy the Natural Factors super cod liver oil. it has the correct ratio of A to D, and says it is a natural source of these vitamins, but I haven't checked up on it beyond that. inexpensive.

I was wondering about the Natural Factors one. I just find the shipping from the states makes it SO expensive! And I never get to the States, so I can't just go there and pick it up from a PO box...

Thanks!

I just got my order of Blue Ice from Dr.Ron's. It WAS expensive. I hadn't looked into the Natural Factors one - it would be great if it checks out ok.

BTW I ordered both capsules & liquid, in anticipation of not being able to stomach the liquid but needing it for DD anyway, but I seem to be ok with the liquid so I have some Blue Ice capsules that you can have if you want - for just the purchase price, I'll eat the shipping costs. If you get down to Victoria you could pick them up? PM me and we can work something out.

I buy mine from Vita Health (a Manitoba chain) and get the Nordic Naturals brand liquid, peach flavor, mmmmm. It's for me and ds (who doesn't swallow capsules well) Dd gets the Carlson brand capsules, 2 a day instead of the adult dose of 3 (she's almost 7). She can't stand the liquid because of the oily texture, even if I mix it with yoghurt or have her chase it with juice she hates it! Apparently Carlson makes a chewable one, I'll have to try it and if dd likes it I will switch us all to that. Tina

Thanks! I may be making a trip to Victoria over reading week... I'll let you know. But I would definitely love to try out the Blue Ice caps

Thanks for the responses... If I get it together, I'll call Natural Factors and ask about the vitamin source.

Sorry my DH accidentally opened them... : and then I took two last night because I forgot to take my CLO before dinner and I didn't want to taste it before bed.... you can still have them if you want them - now special reduced price!

I get Garden of Life at the HFS, just over $20 and it's WAPF recommended. Lemon Mint flavour...pretty good, actually.

Thanks! What's the ratio of A to D in Garden of Life?

Thanks for all your help, ladies. I am trying the Natural factors, and spoke with the rep from NF, and the extra A&D come from CL, so I guess it's okay for now. The caps are too big for me to even think of getting my kids to learn to swallow them.

glad to hear the NF is fine, that's awsome you called. have you tried just getting your kids to chew them? we call them "poppers" at our house and the kids LOVE chewing them.
