when are you "announcing" your pregnancy - Page 2

We've told my parents who we are close to. Other than that, we'll tell family on Easter and everyone else the week after.

I'm thinking of announcing it to family on dd's 3rd birthday (4/1). They'll all be in town for it except dh's mom and stepdad. So something else for them, I guess. But I thought I'd get one of those "I'm going to be a big sister" kinda shirts and let her wear it that day.

So far I've told (note: DH hasn't told anyone) my phys ed teacher and two of my classmates, oh and my two good friends who don't live any where near here and who don't have contact with any of my family. I think that my phys ed teacher told two of my other instructors because the one seemed totally cool with me telling him I might have to bolt from our computer lab test if I felt sick. And the other teacher was joking about the desk rows being spaced further apart near the back of the room and she said that pregnant women could sit there. She said I could sit there when I get bigger.

We'll probably wait until around 12 weeks or so.

We're waiting to tell our folks until we hear a heartbeat. Everyone else will have to wait until 12 wks.

Any of you petite mamas know when one typically starts to show enough that you have to tell your boss?

I'm going to tell my parents and sister next week. I'm hoping to wait until 12 weeks to tell everyone else, but I don't know if I can hold it in. I already feel like shouting it on the rooftops.

Besides dh, mom and my sisters, my bf and the entire mdcommunity thats quite a list alreadyy ~ we're gonna wait til week 10 or so for friends and the rest of the family.
They all know we've been going for infert treatment but we have beeen for quite awhile so I think they're afraid to ask anyway. I should be starting to show by then anyway .
