I finally left dd with dh!

For like an hour and 30 minutes, while I went to a meeting. I could have taken dd, but she had recently eaten and napped, so I asked dh, do you want to just stay home with her? I think she'll be fine!
My background: dd is ebf, no pump, no bottles, no paci. I am 100% available to her all the time. I've never had to leave her with anyone, and when I go somewhere, dd comes with me, or we go out as a family.

So, on my way home, I get this panicked call from dh...are you en route? We're barely hanging on!
Turns out she had a little gas bubble...and needed a little comfort nursing, but they were both fine.

So later, dh made me promise to pump and freeze an emergency bm supply, and wanted to make an emergency plan in case I get hit by a truck and he's a solo parent all of a sudden...poor guy.

I did get the coveted "I don't know how you do this all day, she's a lot of work" comment! And, he said she kept looking around for me and making a ma-ma noise we've never heard before. Awwww...

Thanks for letting me share mamas! I figure if we still have a ddc, I might as well keep posting!

Oh my! Congrats! Of course, I remember not needing breaks as desperately with DD#1 as I do now that I'm the mama of two

Good for you!! It is so hard to do it when they are so dependent on you. I've left ds with dh but they always have a bottle at the ready.

Dh took off with Louis one day! He asked if he could take him to Lowe's with him (it's literally a 90 second drive from home) - I said sure. He was gone for almost two hours! I told him he'd better not do that again! He said, "I would have brought him home if he needed you." I said, "I needed him!" *pout*

Good for you!
I've left Sean with his dad twice now to run to the store at the end of my street. It still feels weird to not have him with me, even for 15 min. I'm sure I'll be getting over that soon.

It did feel weird to not have her with me...especially since she is in my arms or in the sling nearly all the time. I'm still weighing the idea of going back to the gym and leaving her in the gym daycare while I work out. It still feels a little funny to me...

Lucky ducks! I had to leave my little E with our daycare provider all day starting at 3 months. : I know what you mean though, as soon as get home with him, I don't want to leave unless he goes with me. And, I still feel the same about Owen too. I don't know what to do if both boys aren't with me.
