Stupid body..

MAKE UP YOUR MIND.

I've spent all night shaking, sweaty, nauseated, cranky, and contracting a little more frequently than normal, and a little more painfully than normal... and here we are, in that holding pattern, eight hours after I started shivering and gagging. FUN! Not. Thankfully I kept some sense in my head and forced myself to sleep and ignore the ctx as much as I could.

We're in the middle of an ice storm, it's Valentines Day, my midwife is two hours away on the other side of said ice storm, the sound of the ice hitting the window is annoying the heck out of me, my back hurts and damn I would like to have some Valentines babies

I did manage to get almost six hours of sleep between contractions, pee breaks, and turning myself over 8347834 times... which is impressive for me. So I'm well rested. I woke up about 1/2 hour COATED in sweat, and touched my husband (who's always hot...) he's cool as a cucumber, and it's 68 degrees in here. I feel like I'm going nuts. I wish my water would break or something - I have never been in labor before and I have NO idea if this is/could be labor or not and I'm going nuts here :

Send babies out vibes/cookies, please

I'm going to call her in an hour since I know she'll be awake then, and just let her know what's going on (and BEG her not to drive through this crap quite yet, LOL!) Seems like things are going to keep putzing along like this for a while so I'm not too worried about it quite yet (and watch, I'll probably giving birth unassisted on the bathroom floor with that attitude

Sorry you feel so crummy. I had that with my third child. It was yucky. Good luck!!!

I'm sorry you feel so awful!! That's no fun at all. Hopefully it won't be much longer for any of us!!

I know how you feel! I have been going through the same thing all day yesterday and again today. I was SURE I was going to have to get up in the middle of the night and go in. I had an appt. today and my midwife said that I am another cm. dilated and that that's "worth 12 hours of labor" so maybe all this "fun" we're having will equal easier labors

I laugh because I too am miserable. The title of your post is great
I am sorry though. If it's any consolation, it really DOES sound like you are very close!

*grumble* Still pregnant... haha. We even made dinner reservations hoping they'd take the hint and ruin the reservations... no dice Oh well, I had a nice Valentine's dinner with my husband which was awesome... we definitely didn't expect to be able to do anything on V-day! Still feeling a bit "off" which I'm taking as a good sign.

I think I might go get involved in some other, uh, romantic activities now... if you catch my drift : Can't hurt, right
